DONALD TRUMP WON

It is an extraordinary victory: the second US President to be re-elected after being defeated at the end of his first term, he also obtained a majority in Congress and perhaps, at the time of writing, a majority in the House of Representatives, while collecting a majority of votes across the entire American territory.
Good. But it is not in this post written on the day of his re-election that I will offer explanations on the reasons for his success. However, it should already be noted that it was more of a referendum for or against D. Trump than a vote that separated him from the candidate Kamala Harris, so much so that, despite a fierce campaign on the ground, she was non-existent in the media: in fact, they mainly mentioned the qualities and especially the faults of Donald Trump and very little those of Kamala Harris. In the latter's defense, it is true that she only campaigned very late and as a simple replacement for a failing Joe Biden.
Even without knowing the United States in depth, one could have predicted the re-election of Donald Trump from a few visible signs: the attack he miraculously escaped, the defection of the Washington Post, the support of Robert F. Kennedy and then Elon Musk. Musk who would not have risked it if they had not been convinced that he had a strong chance of winning.
For my part, I had predicted Trump's victory in 2016, but I did not persevere this time, not having strong enough arguments to go forward with it.
For our information, I would like to emphasize here the dangerous role of the mainstream media , in France, Europe and Canada. They have almost all led a fierce campaign against D. Trump and as a result they have made us believe that their opinions were those of a good part of American voters. It is to the point that 65% of French people surveyed declared that they supported K Harris against 14% who were in favor of D. Trump. This anti-Trump media campaign has led us into a wall, because we are now faced with a president that we are supposed to hate and a country, the first in the world, that we do not understand.
Today, these same media are insisting on the danger that threatens us because of its future policy, so that, after having "led us up the garden path", they are making sure to scare us.
What's the point? Since D. Trump has declared urbi et orbi that he will lead a policy favorable, according to his point of view, to the United States and that he will pay only distracted attention to our fears and moods, unless we can oppose him with a favorable balance of power.
But we know that this is not the case at all, and calls for a united EU are as unrealistic as the analyses offered by the media on the election that has just taken place.
Therefore, if there is a lesson to be learned from the election of D. Trump to the presidency of the United States, apart from a couplet about "nothing is ever lost", it should not concern the United States but ourselves.
We are in a bad situation in Europe and particularly in France. Our economy has not been able to balance our foreign trade for a long time. In addition, the State deficit is tending to become dizzying and our partners are less and less willing to lend us ever larger sums for free. Finally, a sign of our loss of control over the French "system", our weaknesses in education, public security and now health are deepening.
This is why, as D. Trump prepares to implement his policy, good or bad for the United States, the question we are asked is to determine what is ours to regain control?
Until we do so, we will only have to observe an accelerated decline in our standard of living and a collapse of our lifestyle, while the media will take care of amusing us by pointing out to us the supposed culprits of our misfortunes, who are American, Russian, Chinese and foreigners of all stripes, to allow us who listen to them to spare ourselves the discomfort of action…
